At a 1970 fundraiser in Detroit, an all-star band of sorts came together when Arnold Palmer once again exhibited his go-for-it "live your best life" style and jumped on the upright bass to accompany track legend Jesse Owens, who was behind the drum kit.

A story from the Associated press recounted the evening, offering that “Surprised visitors agreed… the two athletes displayed talents that had previously gone largely undetected.” Which leaves us to wonder if there’s a lost album somewhere…
